Category B Skipper License - 40NM from Shore (DAY)

Category B Skipper License – 40NM from Shore (DAY) Course includes vessels operating solely on sheltered waters (tidal lagoon, tidal river, waters within the breakwaters of a port) and inland waters (waters of any dam, lagoon, lake, river or wetland, which are not tidal waters), as well as any pleasure vessels (a vessel that is used solely for sport or recreation).

Category B Skippers License Requirements:

25 practical hours attended at a SAMSA approved training facility OR

50 practical hours signed off by an appropriately qualified skipper (category R or higher) OR

100 practical hours (category R vessels) signed off by the student & registration documentation of the appropriate vessels.

We offer:

25 required practical hours (Scheduled as per mutual availability)

One required theory class (Generally one evening in the week as from 18:00)

SAMSA required theory and practical examinations (Generally on the last Saturday/Sunday of the month)
